Disney Consumer Products

Disney Consumer Products part of the Walt Disney Company, use London College of Fashion to provide their Product Licensing team with training to enhance their understanding of the products within the highly competitive Softline area.  The Product Specialists are the first point of contact for manufacturers/suppliers seeking approval for the use of Disney images on garments and accessories. Therefore the Product Specialists need an all-round understanding of the fabrics, garment manufacturing, surface textile embellishment, costings and quality issues. In an industry that embraces technological innovation, it is essential that product knowledge is kept up to date. London College of Fashion now provide the company with detailed briefings every quarter.


Compagnie Maurcienne de Textile LtÉe (CMT)

Compagnie Maurcienne de Textile Ltée (CMT), based in Mauritius, approached London College of Fashion for assistance with their plans to review and develop the company's approach when working with their clients. Originally it had been a simple product development approach. The company benefited from London College of Fashion's reknowned expertise in inspirational design development and realisation, pattern cutting, supply chain management, and fashion forecasting; and developed into a design led operation providing the company with a substantial competitive edge, and providing their clients with significant added value.


Lion In The Sun Ltd

Lion In The Sun Ltd has established a niche in the childrenswear UV protective swimwear and beachwear market. To date, they have relied on their suppliers in China to provide the patterns for their ranges. London College of Fashion were brought in to provide strategic support to ensure that the brand continues to be perceived as a quality product in light of anticipated future competition. Our experts focused on the best route for developing blocks for the brand; the process involved in translating these blocks into patterns for the new season; the process to progress the patterns to graded sets; the best route for ensuring quality and checking fit and sizing in both sample and production garments; and advising on the relevant procedures to implement efficient product development in the future.


Selfridges & Co

Selfridges & Co have developed an in-house training programme for Brand Specialist trainees in association with London College of Fashion. The programme provides them with a thorough grounding in the retail fashion industry and with particular emphasis on producing trained individuals who are able to run their brand successfully, provide outstanding levels of service and create a loyal customer base. London College of Fashion's specialist expertise has supported the training in four areas:
Fashion Business & the Global Fashion Marketplace; Textiles and Garment Care; Garment Fit; and Personal Styling.
