Increasing numbers of people are starting to realise that it is important to be flexible in today's job market, and that extra qualifications can be of great help. Not all of us have been fortunate enough to go to university though, and taking years out from working to study is just not practical, especially if there are kids as well.
A distance learning degree does solve these issues, but of course, not all of them are equal. Where then, is it possible to find out about the best courses? Word of mouth is about things, but it may not apply in these circumstances.
One option, is to search for reviews online. It may be surprising at first, but there are in fact a lot of these review sites out there where people leave their opinions. This is particularly helpful for distance learning courses, as they represent not only a substantial investment in money, but also in time as well.
A good review will describe many things, such as if there were any hidden costs, how good the tutors were and other such practical matters. They may also help you in other ways that you may have not thought about, such as how they coped whilst taking the course, and if it took more or less time out of their daily routine than they had anticipated.
If you decided to enrol on a course, then it might be nice to leave some feedback about it of your own online. This way, the community as a whole benefits, and we can all help one another.
